British lightweight fighter Paddy Pimblett has admitted that he has always dreamed of competing in UFC tournaments from the 1990s.
Paddy Pimblett on the Chattin’ Pony Podcast
I didn’t start fighting pro MMA until like 2012, 2013. I’ve always wanted to do a one-night tournament, always. But now it doesn’t happen… I wish they would. I wish they’d do a tournament. I’d love to have three fights in one night or even just two, but they just don’t do it anymore. It’s just unheard of.
Pimblett last fought against Michael Chandler in April this year at UFC 314, winning by technical knockout in the third round.
He made his UFC debut in September 2021 against Brazilian fighter Luigi Vendramini, winning the match by knockout in the first round. In his mixed martial arts career, Pimblett boasts a record of 23 wins and three losses.
