Russian middleweight Ikram Aliskerov told Telecomasia.net in an exclusive interview that he is ready to fight UFC champion Khamzat Chimaev on a short notice.
Ikram Aliskerov exclusively for Telecom Asia Sport
Of course. If I were offered a title fight, I’d step in with two days’ notice. I don’t train with weak guys. I’m always ready, always in good shape. If an active fighter with championship ambitions is offered a title fight, how could they say no? So what if it’s short notice? You’re part of this game. You have to be prepared for everything.
Aliskerov and Chimaev fought at the Brave CF event in April 2019, where Chimaev won by first-round knockout. Aliskerov is 32 years old with a record of 16 wins and 2 losses. Chimaev, representing the UAE, has 15 wins and no losses.
