British UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall commented on the possibility of American Jon Jones returning to the world’s top league.
Tom Aspinall for Ariel Helwani
It’s just boring, it’s just so boring. It has spent 0 seconds in my mind. I’m not interested, and the world shouldn’t be interested either, because what’s the point? It’s false hope.
Aspinall last fought Curtis Blaydes in July 2024 at UFC 304, winning by first‑round knockout. His record stands at 15 wins and three losses.
Jones last entered the octagon in November 2024 at UFC 309, defeating Stipe Miocic by technical knockout in the third round. In June 2025 UFC president Dana White announced that Jones had retired and that Tom Aspinall was the new heavyweight champion.
Jones’s record is 28 wins, one loss, and one no contest.
