UFC light heavyweight fighter Bogdan Guskov shared his thoughts in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net on when Magomed Ankalaev might get another chance to fight for the UFC light heavyweight championship.

I’m focused on winning the fight against Jan Blachowicz. If I win, I’ll be very close to a title shot, at most one more fight away. How fast will Ankalaev get a rematch or the right to fight for the title? I don’t know. Jiri Prochazka and Khalil Rountree put on a great fight. Carlos Ulberg also had a good fight just a week ago. Right now it looks like Ulberg is the main contender, Ankalaev will fight Prochazka. The spectacularity of their fight could play a big role. But the next shot will probably go to Ulberg – somehow I’m sure of that. We can’t forget about Aleksandar Rakic and Azamat Murzakanov either. Also, Khamzat Chimaev wants to fight Pereira. But I don’t think the middleweight champion will get an immediate title shot at 205 pounds. Or the division will stall.
On October 5 at UFC 320, Alex Pereira won by first-round technical knockout over Magomed Ankalaev, becoming the UFC light heavyweight champion.
Pereira holds 13 wins and 3 losses. Ankalaev has 20 wins, two losses, one draw, and one no contest on his record.
