Former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards outlined the timeline for his return to the octagon.

November for sure. I think JDM is fighting Islam Makhachev at Madison Square Garden so I want to be on the same card, you know? I feel good, I’ve been training and helping Fabian in camp. Now I’m ready to go, I’ve waited for the division to settle a little bit and now I’m ready to go. I’m one or two away from getting my belt back so I’m locking in and I’m going to get it done.
Edwards’ most recent fight was in March at UFC Fight Night 255 against Sean Brady, where he lost by submission in the fourth round. His record stands at 22 wins, five losses, and one no-contest.
Edwards made his UFC debut in November 2014 against Brazilian Claudio Silva, a fight Edwards lost by split decision.
