I know Yan wasn’t 100% ready when he fought Merab in March 2023. I want to see Petr at his absolute best, so nothing distracts him, when he’s fully charged and motivated. Right now Yan is definitely motivated. I’m really looking forward to this fight.
On October 5 at UFC 320, Merab Dvalishvili defeated Cory Sandhagen by unanimous decision to defend his bantamweight title. In March 2023, Dvalishvili beat Petr Yan by unanimous decision. Dvalishvili has 21 wins and 4 losses. Yan has won 19 of 24 professional MMA fights.
