Former UFC lightweight champion and Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov has shared his thoughts on the potential return of Conor McGregor to the top league.
While speaking at a public event in New York, Khabib stated:
The most beautiful part of this is Allah always give the chance to come back. It doesn’t matter how you’ve been, Allah is gonna give you a chance always to come back. He has to change how he is living. If he’s gonna change, he can change with him so many other lives too. That’s why I wish him to change himself. If he’s not gonna change, it will be punishment all his life.
McGregor's last fight took place against Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264, where he lost by technical knockout due to a leg injury in the first round.
McGregor made his UFC debut in April 2013 against American Marcus Brimage. That fight, which was stopped in the first round, ended in a technical knockout victory for Conor. His record stands at 22 wins and six losses.
