No. 2 middleweight Nassourdine Imavov said he should get a title shot against Khamzat Chimaev after beating Caio Borralho at UFC Fight Night 258.
On the night of September 6 in Paris, France, Imavov won by unanimous decision (50–45, 49–46, 49–46).
"Considering the circumstances, I'm really happy with my performance. On my right foot, a tendon or something like that let go. It was really painful. I would have liked to get the finish, but it is what it is," Nassourdine Imavov said in his post-match interview.
Absolutely, no hesitation that I'm next. It's been 10 years that he [Borralho] was unbeaten, and I beat him with style, as well. I definitely need to be the next one.
Imavov’s previous bout was in February 2025 at UFC Fight Night 250, where he defeated Israel Adesanya by second-round TKO. His professional record stands at 17 wins and four losses; one fight was ruled a no-contest.
Borralho last fought in August 2024 at UFC on ESPN 62, defeating Jared Cannonier by unanimous decision. His record is 17 wins and two losses; one fight was ruled a no-contest.
