UFC newcomer Baysangur Susurkaev told Telecomasia.net in an exclusive interview that after moving to the United States in 2022 he had to work various jobs without papers for more than two years because he couldn't get fights.
I worked in delivery, as a loader in the US for more than two years. Until November 2024 I was constantly working ten‑hour shifts. When a fight was scheduled, I did two training sessions. I work, and I work — and then suddenly the fight is off. Mostly I trained once a day because there was little time and little financial support. I survived until the fights started.
"I didn't have and still don't have an official job. We bought accounts to work under other names, so I didn't pay taxes. You can work as a loader without documents, and I worked under other people's accounts in delivery. On deliveries I once earned $180, but that was for ten hours of work. And you couldn't always make $100 to $130 — it depends on the state. I live in Miami, they pay less here. As a loader I made more, but that job is harder," Susurkaev said.
On the night of August 13 in Las Vegas, on Dana White's Contender Series, Russian Baysangur Susurkaev knocked out Bahrain's Murtaza Talha in the first round and earned a UFC contract. Susurkaev has nine wins and no losses.
