An Irish court upheld a ruling requiring former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor to pay compensation to the woman who accused him of rape. The Guardian reports that the court has maintained its decision.
Nikita Hand filed the lawsuit in 2021, claiming the incident took place on December 9, 2018. In 2024, the jury ordered the fighter to pay nearly 250,000 euros, which was later reduced to 188,603 euros.
McGregor has denied any wrongdoing, stating the act was “fully consensual”. The appeal did not succeed, and the jury's decision remains in effect.
McGregor last stepped into the octagon in July 2021 for UFC 264, where he lost to Dustin Poirier by technical knockout (due to a leg injury) in the first round. He holds a record of 22 wins and six losses.
