Bronze medalist in judo at the Olympic Games Natalia Kuziutina shared her strong desire to join the UFC during an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net, stating she is ready to step into the octagon on short notice any day.
“It’s no secret that I want to sign a contract with the UFC and I’m doing everything to get it. That’s why I’m willing to fight opponents who are ranked higher than me. It’s easy to overlook a weaker opponent, but a strong one is a chance to prove myself. I haven’t been in Russia for a long time because I’ve been ready to step in on any day, even tomorrow. I’m always in shape, and I have no weight issues.
I believe I deserve the chance to compete in the UFC. Many fighters who compete there come to our gym. I have no problems training with them; I perform well and sometimes even better. Of course, it’s frustrating that my opponents are signed while I’m not.
The 36-year-old Kuziutina is a four-time European champion, a silver medalist at the World Championships, and a bronze medalist at the Olympics in judo. She has been competing in MMA since 2022, achieving eight wins and just one loss.
