Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor voiced support for organizing an exhibition boxing match between Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather, which could take place in the spring of 2026.

I’m excited for it. Because you know what? Mike looks amazing. It’s been seven years since he was last here [in Dublin], he was here in 2018 and I met him back then. That was seven years ago and he looks even seven years younger than then, you get me? It’s Mike Tyson, man. I’ll tell you what, he won’t lose. I hope it goes ahead, he seems confident it’s going ahead, he’s well up for it.
Mayweather last fought John Gotti III in August 2024 in Mexico City. No winner was declared in the bout, as the exhibition rules required a knockout for victory. Floyd holds a record of 50 wins (27 by knockout) and zero losses.
Tyson last stepped into the ring against Jake Paul in November 2024. That fight ended in a loss for Mike by unanimous decision. He holds a record of 50 wins (44 by knockout) and seven losses.
