Ireland's Ian Machado Garry ironically responded to the recent barb from UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev, who publicly stated: "White boy, you won't survive one minute in my world."
During a conversation on Ariel Helwani's show, Garry reacted to the phrase with a smile and a brief remark:
I'm pretty sure we are both white.
Chimaev was at the tournament cornering Arman Tsarukyan, who defeated Dan Hooker by submission in the second round in the main event of the tournament. His record stands at 23 wins and three losses.
Garry met former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad in the co-main event of the recent tournament. That fight ended in favor of Ian by unanimous decision. His record is 17 wins and one loss.
