Former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Jon Jones reacted to comments made by UFC head Dana White regarding his potential performance at an upcoming event at the White House.
Jones previously expressed his desire to headline the event, which may take place in 2026 as part of the celebrations for America’s 250th anniversary. In response, White stated that he couldn’t trust Jones with such an important responsibility due to his history of getting into trouble.
Jon Jones
While I was a little disappointed, I’m still in the UFC’s drug testing pool, staying sharp, and continuing to train like a professional. I’ll be ready for whatever comes next. In a recent interview, I shared that the opportunity to fight at the White House gave me something deeper to fight for, a “why” that goes beyond paychecks or belts. Fighting for my country gives me a greater purpose!
Jones last fought against Stipe Miocic in November 2024 at UFC 309, where he won by technical knockout in the third round, successfully defending his UFC heavyweight title. He boasts a record of 28 wins, one loss, and one no contest in his professional career.
