Jones Is Retired, I’m Undisputed Champion, and I Have a Date for Next Fight: Aspinall

British fighter Tom Aspinall, the holder of the interim UFC heavyweight title, announced that American Jon Jones has ended his career and Tom is now the current division champion.

Jon’s retired. The guy is living his best life. He’s had a fantastic career, we all know. I’m the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. I’m ready to take on all comers, get this division moving again. I’ll tell you something. I’ve got a date and a location.

Aspinall had his last fight in July 2024 at UFC 304, defeating Curtis Blaydes by knockout in the first round. He has 15 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts.

Jones last entered the octagon in November 2024 at UFC 309, defeating Stipe Miocic by technical knockout in the third round. He has 28 wins and one loss to his name. One fight was declared a no contest.
