Jones Not Stepping Up to Fight Aspinall Is Letting the Whole MMA Fanbase Down: Pimblett

British fighter Paddy Pimblett believes UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is betraying the entire fan base by refusing to step up to fight interim champion Tom Aspinall.

Obviously Tom is the f-- best heavyweight in the world. I reckon anyone else in that position would have been stripped... Jones should be stripped now. The fact he's not stepping up and fighting you [Aspinall], he's letting the whole MMA fanbase down.

Aspinall last fought against Curtis Blaydes in July 2024 at UFC 304. Tom won that fight by knockout in the first round. He has 15 wins and three defeats on his record.

Jones last entered the octagon against Stipe Miocic in November 2024 at UFC 309. That fight ended in favor of Jones by technical knockout in the third round. He has 28 wins, one loss and one fight that was ruled a no contest.
