Former UFC lightweight champion and Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov announced in New York that Umar Nurmagomedov will headline the upcoming UFC event in Vancouver on October 18.
Khabib did not disclose the name of Umar’s opponent, but earlier reports suggested that it will likely be Mario Bautista.
In January 2025, Umar Nurmagomedov faced the bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 311, losing by unanimous decision. His current record stands at 18 wins and one loss.
