Former Bellator welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov, in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net, compared the achievements of Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

You must have definite criteria to compare Makhachev to Nurmagomedov. If you look at the number of titles, Makhachev has surpassed Khabib. But Khabib has one achievement that Makhachev will never match – zero losses on his record. In that regard, Makhachev can never overcome Khabib, unless Nurmagomedov returns and loses.

Recall that on November 16 at UFC 322 in New York, Islam Makhachev defeated Jack Della Maddalena by unanimous decision and captured the welterweight title, becoming a two-division UFC champion. His record stands at 28 wins and one loss.

Khabib Nurmagomedov retired in 2020 with an undefeated record of 29-0.
