After more than twelve years, fifteen world title victories, and countless unforgettable nights, I’ve decided to vacate my GLORY Heavyweight World Title. I gave everything to this sport and to the organisation. Together, we built something truly special – sold out arenas, broke records, gave fans incredible fights and moments that helped shape the history of kickboxing. To all the fans who’ve been part of this incredible journey.... Thank you for the memories, the energy, and the respect. It’s not a goodbye, it’s an “until we meet again.”
According to insider Ariel Helwani, the 36-year-old athlete may soon debut in mixed martial arts fights under the UFC banner. Verhoeven's last fight took place on July 14, 2025, in Rotterdam, Netherlands, as part of the milestone Glory 100 event, where he defeated Russia's Artem Vakhitov by unanimous decision.
Over his professional kickboxing career, Verhoeven has competed in 77 bouts, securing 66 victories (21 by knockout), suffering ten losses, and one fight ending in a draw.
