On July 13, American UFC fighter Derrick Lewis achieved a first-round technical knockout victory over Tallison Teixeira at UFC on ESPN 70 in Nashville, USA.
With this win, Lewis secured his ninth early stoppage victory achieved through submissions, breaking the previous record held by former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, who had eight such finishes.
Lewis's previous fight was against Rodrigo Nasсimento in May 2024 at UFC on ESPN 56, where he also won by technical knockout in the third round. He now holds a record of 20 wins, 12 losses, and one no contest.
