
UFC fighter Derrick Lewis revealed that he spoke on the phone with U.S. President Donald Trump right after his victory over Tallison Teixeira at UFC on ESPN 70.

I need to talk to [Trump] about something... No man. No, it's classified. It's almost something about terrorists and stuff like that... I had to tell the president, "Hey, make sure they don't have my name on that list."
Lewis won the fight against Teixeira by technical knockout in the first round. His previous match was against Rodrigo Nasсimento in May 2024 at UFC on ESPN 56, where he also secured a technical knockout in the third round. Lewis has a record of 20 wins, 12 losses, and one no contest.
Teixeira fought Justin Tafa in the octagon in February this year at UFC 312, winning that match by technical knockout in the first round. His overall record features eight wins and one loss.
