Los Angeles police have opened an investigation into MMA fighter Raja Jackson, the son of former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, TMZ reports.

The incident took place during the night of August 24 at a Knokx Pro Wrestling event. According to media reports, Jackson Jr. entered the ring and attacked a wrestler known as Syko Stu (real name Stuart Smith). Jackson slammed the wrestler onto the canvas and delivered about 20 strikes to the fighter, who was already unconscious. The injured man was hospitalized and taken to intensive care in serious condition.
