Makhachev can win against anyone in the UFC, even the heavyweight champion. Islam looks like an unbeatable fighter right now. He has a strong team, a solid resume, and great mental strength. Makhachev is a very powerful fighter, and I see no weaknesses in him at all. He would win in any weight class he chooses.
In January 2025, at UFC 311, Islam Makhachev submitted Brazilian Renato Moicano to defend his lightweight title. The Russian later vacated the title to move up to the welterweight division. Makhachev’s professional MMA record stands at 27-1, and he is currently on a 15-fight winning streak in the UFC.
