Former UFC middleweight fighter Darren Till, in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net, compared Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov as fighters.

I think Khabib was a big star because he fought Conor McGregor, and that was a huge fight. If Islam stays – maybe for two more years – he will become the biggest star. Makhachev is better as a fighter.
“Compare the Makhachev vs. Ilia Topuria fight with the Conor vs. Khabib fight? I would prefer to compare the Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor fight with the Ian Garry vs. Khamzat Chimaev bout. Yes, Islam vs. Ilia is similar too, but they don't have that hatred. Khabib and Conor hated each other. But I want to see the Makhachev vs. Topuria bout, just as I want to see Ilia vs. Paddy Pimblett," Till said.
Nurmagomedov has a record of 29 wins and no losses. Makhachev has 28 wins and one loss in his professional career.
