
Russian fighter Islam Makhachev stated that he is ready to face current UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria at a UFC event scheduled to take place at the White House on June 14, 2026.

Topuria’s last fight was against Charles Oliveira in June this year at UFC 317, where he won by knockout in the first round to claim the UFC lightweight championship. He currently holds a record of 17 wins and no losses.
Makhachev is set to fight for the welterweight championship belt against Jack Della Maddalena on November 16 at UFC 322 in New York, USA. Earlier this year, in January, Islam defeated Renato Moicano with a first-round submission. His record stands at 27 wins and one loss.
