The UFC previously officially confirmed that the promotion's former interim lightweight champion, Justin Gaethje (USA), will meet Pimblett at UFC 324, which will take place on January 24 in Las Vegas.
Paddy Pimblett last stepped into the Octagon in April 2025 at UFC 314, defeating Michael Chandler via technical knockout in the third round. His record includes 23 wins and three losses.
Justin Gaethje last fought in March 2025 at UFC 313, winning against Rafael Fiziev by unanimous decision. His record stands at 26 wins and five losses.
