MMA Junkie: Nelson Withdraws from Fight Against Magny Due to Injury

Icelandic fighter Gunnar Nelson will not compete against American Neil Magny, a matchup that was scheduled for July 20 at UFC 318 in New Orleans, according to MMA Junkie.

Reports indicate that Nelson has withdrawn from the fight due to a hamstring injury.

Nelson last fought Kevin Holland in March of this year at UFC Fight Night 255, where he lost by unanimous decision. His overall record stands at 19 wins, six losses, and one draw.

Magny's most recent fight occurred against Carlos Prates in November 2024 at UFC Fight Night 247, where he suffered a knockout loss in the first round. He has a career record of 29 wins and 13 losses.
