Ecuadorian fighter Michael Morales stated that the UFC management wants to set up a bout for him against the former promotion's welterweight champion, Australian Jack Della Maddalena.

My next opponent could be Jack Della Maddalena. Maybe it’ll be him. We are waiting for that. They just told me that a fight could happen possibly on June 14 or around June. So it’s just about preparing for the fight and always being ready.
Maddalena last stepped into the octagon against Islam Makhachev this November at UFC 322. Jack lost that fight by unanimous decision and lost the UFC welterweight championship belt. He has a record of 28 wins and one loss.
Morales had his last fight against Sean Brady at the same UFC 322 event. Michael won that bout by technical knockout in the first round. He has a record of 19 wins and no losses.
