Top UFC light heavyweight fighter Khalil Rountree intends to put on an incredible performance in his fight with Jamahal Hill to get a title shot. The fighters will headline the UFC on ABC 8 event on June 21 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

My plan is to put on a performance that makes a title shot undeniable, if that makes any sense. I'm ready to be a champion and the champion. Everything I'm working on and doing is to be prepared for that again. That is absolutely what I want and what I am gunning for.
Rountree last stepped into the octagon in October 2024 at UFC 307, losing to Alex Pereira by fourth-round technical knockout in a title fight. He has 13 wins and six losses to his name. One fight was ruled a no contest.
Jamahal Hill last fought in January 2025 at UFC 311, losing to Jiri Prochazka by TKO in the third round. He has 12 wins and three losses on his record. One fight was ruled a no contest.
