A welterweight matchup between American Geoff Neal and Brazilian Carlos Prates is set to take place at UFC 319 on August 17 in Chicago, Illinois.
This was officially confirmed by the league's press service.
On April 27, Prates fought Ian Machado Garry in the main event of UFC on ESPN 66 in Kansas City, where he lost by unanimous decision after a full-distance fight. Prates holds a record of 21 wins and 7 losses.
In October 2024, Neal secured a victory by technical knockout in the first round against Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 308. His overall record is now 16 wins and 6 losses.
