Former two-weight UFC champion Amanda Nunes shared her thoughts on Kayla Harrison’s victory against fellow American Julianna Peña in a title fight.
Amanda Nunes for The Schmo
I'm not impressed. I think she did what she's supposed to do. She saw she could beat Julianna, she saw the arm, and then she got the arm, and she beat Julianna. So I'm happy for her.
The bout took place in June at the co-main event of UFC 316 in Newark, New Jersey. Harrison secured a win with a submission in the second round, claiming the UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship.
Harrison now boasts a record of 19 wins and one loss in mixed martial arts, while Peña has 12 wins and six losses.
