One-Armed Fighter Peacock Defeats Japanese Fighter Shinjo At ONE Tournament

On April 5, one-armed Canadian Thai boxer Jake Peacock, the son of ex-Chelsea, QPR and Newcastle footballer Gavin Peacock and grandson of Charlton Athletic legend Keith Peacock, fought against Japan's Kohei Shinjo at the Lumpini Arena in Bangkok as part of the ONE Friday Fights 58 tournament.

There might be some skepticism, there might be some doubt, but when they see my abilities hopefully that is a motivator for people. I'd love to be an example of motivation and inspiration for people stuck in a rut. Conor McGregor said it best: 'we are not here to take part, we are here to take over'. It's the same for me.

The fight went the full distance and ended with Peacock winning by unanimous decision. It should be noted that the Japanese fighter had no energy left even to come out for announcing the winner.

Peacock has 12 wins and 1 loss on his record.
