ONE Heavyweight Champion Kane Involved in Car Crash, Rematch with Malykhin Canceled

The rematch between ONE heavyweight champion Oumar Kane and Anatoly Malykhin, scheduled for November 16 at ONE 173 in Tokyo, Japan, has been canceled.

Kane sustained injuries in a serious car accident, forcing him to withdraw from the bout. ONE Championship has not disclosed the severity of his injuries.

Recall that in November 2024 at ONE 169, Malykhin lost to Kane by split decision and was stripped of the heavyweight title. Malykhin’s record stands at 14 wins and one loss. Kane holds a record of seven wins and one loss.
