UFC light heavyweight fighter Bogdan Guskov, in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net, shared his thoughts on the rematch between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev.

There was no sign in my mind that Ankalaev would lose like that. I didn’t expect it. For me, and for most people, it’s a huge upset. Probably the upset of the year. That’s why we love sports. Pereira’s corner did a great job. He was more aggressive than in the first fight. Although I expected aggression from Ankalaev. I thought Magomed would push hard and look for chances. He showed in the first fight that you can land shots on Alex, you can take him down. But Pereira went all in. I don’t think it was a lucky punch. Alex usually goes with the left arm, and this time he hit him with the right. Maybe Ankalaev wasn’t ready for that and was caught off guard.
On October 5, at UFC 320, Alex Pereira defeated Magomed Ankalaev by first-round TKO and became the UFC light heavyweight champion.
Pereira’s record stands at 13 wins and three losses. Ankalaev has 20 wins, two losses, one draw, and one no-contest.
