Professional Fighters League (PFL) founder and co-owner Donn Davis, who previously announced the purchase of the Bellator MMA promotion, has revealed plans for the future.
According to Davis, they will host a "PFL Champion vs. Bellator Champion" tournament in 2024. Furthermore, Bellator events will be held at the same time as the PFL in 2024, but the athletes will be available to compete in both promotions.
You essentially put two number two companies to create a co-leader. The combined PFL Bellator roster now has 30 per cent of its fighters who are ranked top 25 in the world by Fight Matrix. That's the same as UFC has in their roster.
Recall, Bellator 301 tournament took place on November 18 in Chicago (USA), where the Jamaican fighter Jason Jackson knocked out the Ukrainian Yaroslav Amosov and became the new champion of the promotion in the welterweight division.
