Pimblett Convinced That His Victory Over Gaethje Would Be Undermined

British fighter Paddy Pimblett spoke about the upcoming bout for the interim UFC lightweight title against American Justin Gaethje, which is scheduled to take place on January 25th at UFC 324 in Las Vegas, USA.

People said I’d never be ranked, people said I’d never do this, I’d never do that, the goalposts always get moved. For me it’s just normal, once I finish Gaethje, it’s going to be “Oh, he was 37 (years old), he was retiring anyway…”

Pimblett last stepped into the octagon against Michael Chandler in April of this year at UFC 314. That fight concluded in Paddy's favor via technical knockout in the third round. He holds a record of 23 wins and three losses.

Gaethje last fought Rafael Fiziev in March of this year at UFC 313. In that bout, Justin earned a victory by unanimous decision. He holds a record of 26 wins and five losses.
