Poirier: In the fight with Chandler I'm gonna show that I'm still progressing

Top UFC lightweight American Dustin Poirier shared his thoughts on his upcoming fight with Michael Chandler on Nov. 12 at UFC 281.

Dustin Poirier
I've been fighting for 15 years, but I've never lost two fights in a row and I don't plan to start now. I'm trying to learn as many lessons as I can from losses. I want to prove to myself that I can achieve my goals. In the fight with Chandler, I intend to show that I'm still growing, that I have something new in my arsenal, and I've gotten better since my last fight.

Poirier had his last fight last December at UFC 269, losing to Charles Oliveira by submission (rear-naked choke) in the third round. The 33-year-old Poirier has 28 wins and seven losses under his belt.

Chandler, 36, last competed at UFC 274 in May of 2022, beating Tony Ferguson by TKO in the second round. He has 23 wins and seven losses under his belt.
