Prochazka Open to Dropping to Middleweight If Trilogy with Pereira Doesn’t Happen

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka stated he is considering a move down to the middleweight division if his trilogy fight against current titleholder Alex Pereira does not come to life.

Jiri Prochazka, quoted by Essintially Sports
For me, cutting to 93 kg [205 lbs.] is not a problem. I think dropping to 84 kg [185 lbs.] like a middleweight would be really something. And I believe I can do it with my body because I know it well, so I believe I can make it.

Prochazka last fought Khalil Rountree at UFC 320 in October 2025, winning by third-round knockout. His MMA record stands at 32 wins, five losses, and one draw.
