Former MMA fighter turned analyst Chael Sonnen said that ex-UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey would resume her career if the current division champion Kayla Harrison defeats Amanda Nunes.

Ronda Rousey, going to come back, and fight the winner of [Amanda Nunes vs. Kayla Harrison], as long as the winner is Kayla. I can confirm the story came from Ronda. So in other words: ‘I’ll return to fight for the title, if Kayla needs an opponent’, although that’s not how comebacks go.
Sonnen added that he believes Ronda’s plan will fail and she will not come back.
Rousey’s last fight was against Amanda Nunes in December 2016 at UFC 207. That bout was stopped in the first round and Rousey lost by technical knockout. Her mixed martial arts record stands at 12 wins and two losses.
