I got it checked out and ended up having a torn meniscus. Once I found out what the injury was, I think it was only about three weeks away from the actual fight day. But it was kind of a blessing in disguise, because tonight I came into the cage really fresh, because I haven’t been able to spar in three weeks.
On June 21, during the UFC on ABC 8 event in Baku, Azerbaijan, Rountree defeated Hill by unanimous decision.
Before this, Jamahal Hill fought in January 2025 at UFC 311, where he lost to Jiri Prochazka by technical knockout in the third round. Hill's record includes 12 wins, four losses, and one no contest.
Khalil Rountree's previous fight took place in October 2024 at UFC 307, where he was defeated by Alex Pereira via technical knockout in the fourth round. His overall record now stands at 14 wins, six losses and one no contest.
