UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko has responded to bantamweight titleholder Kayla Harrison’s desire to face her at the UFC event scheduled for the White House in summer 2026.
Valentina Shevchenko for MMA Junkie
I heard she brought some other names as well. She called Amanda, right? She called Ronda (Rousey), and from all three names, it's only one name that's still an active fighter. The other ones are like eight years retired, four years retired. Kayla is a very good fighter, very good athlete, very physically strong, and definitely it's going to be a great fight – but I'm not looking past my fight.
On November 16 in New York City, Shevchenko will meet Weili Zhang in the co-main event of UFC 322.
Shevchenko last competed in May 2025 at UFC 315, defeating Manon Fiorot by unanimous decision. Her professional MMA record stands at 25 wins, 4 losses, and 1 draw.
Zhang last fought in February 2025 at UFC 312, where she defeated Tatiana Suarez by unanimous decision. Her record currently reads 26 wins and 3 losses.
