Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland was disciplined by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for an incident that took place June 29 at a Tuff-N-Uff event. During the show, Strickland jumped into the cage and attacked one of the fighters, journalist Nolan King reports.
The commission issued a six-month suspension. That suspension can be reduced to four and a half months if Strickland completes an anger-management course. He was also fined $5,000 and ordered to pay legal costs.
Strickland’s most recent fight was against Dricus Du Plessis in February at UFC 312, where he lost by unanimous decision. His MMA record is 29 wins and seven losses.
