Topuria Claims BMF Title After Holloway's Trilogy Win Over Poirier

Current UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria has indicated that he still considers himself the BMF titleholder, despite Max Holloway conducting his first official defense of the title in a trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier.

"Still mine," Topuria wrote on social media after the Holloway vs. Poirier fight, sharing a photo of the BMF belt.

The third bout between Holloway and Poirier took place on July 20 as the main event of UFC 318. In this match, Max won by unanimous decision, keeping the BMF title.

Poirier has a record of 30 wins, 10 losses, and one fight that was declared a no contest. Holloway has achieved 27 wins and suffered eight losses.

In October 2024, Topuria faced Holloway at UFC 308, where Ilia won by knockout in the third round.
