The current UFC lightweight champion, Spanish-Georgian fighter Ilia Topuria, did not rule out the possibility of headlining the promotion’s first event on the Paramount channel, scheduled for January 2026.

It’s very possible. I’m very happy that this new deal with Paramount was signed. Now, with this new deal, [UFC] will be able to hold events in Europe at local prime time, which works well for all of us who live on this side of the ocean.
28-year-old Topuria’s last fight was against Charles Oliveira in June this year at UFC 317. Ilia won that fight by first-round knockout and claimed the UFC lightweight championship belt. His record is 17 wins and no losses.
