Topuria Wants to Fight Makhachev in the White House

UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria admitted that he would like to have a fight against Islam Makhachev at the strongest league’s event held in the White House.

Ilia Topuria in an interview with Giorgi Kokiashvili
I want to fight Islam Makhachev in the White House. If a fight with Islam Makhachev takes place at the White House, it could be one of the biggest fights in UFC history. No one has fought for a third belt yet. Islam was completely dominant in the previous weight class and has now moved up a level. That's why this fight will be magnificent and unforgettable.

Topuria’s last fight took place in June 2025 at UFC 317, where he defeated Charles Oliveira by knockout in the first round. He currently has 17 wins and no losses.

Recall that the fight between Islam Makhachev and Jack Della Maddalena will headline UFC 322 on November 16 in New York (USA). Islam last fought in January 2025 at UFC 311, winning against Renato Moicano by submission in the first round. His record stands at 27 wins and one loss.
