UFC CEO Dana White said he intends to launch a boxing project next year similar to the Dana White’s Contender Series.

Basically, in 26’ I’m going to start my show, and what I’m going to do is basically like the Contender Series. The best will fight the best, undefeated guys will fight undefeated guys, and you will care about the first fight of the night, not just the main event. So, I will build stars, put on great fights, and then these guys will graduate and fight for Turki, which they will determine how much they get paid.
Recall that the winners of Dana White’s Contender Series have the opportunity to earn a UFC contract.
On the night of September 14, UFC Fight Night 259 will take place, headlined by former featherweight title challenger Diego Lopes and Jean Silva.
Lopes last fought in April 2025 at UFC 314, losing to Alexander Volkanovski by unanimous decision. His record is 26 wins and seven losses.
Silva at UFC 314 defeated Bryce Mitchell by second-round submission. His record stands at 16 wins and two losses.
