UFC Debutants Will Wear Special Patch in the Octagon

American mixed martial arts promotion UFC has joined the Topps Debut Patch collectible card program, which will kick off on June 1 at UFC on ESPN 68, as reported by Sports Business Journal.

Fighters making their promotional debut will have a patch on the right sleeve of the jersey they wear when they enter the octagon. After the fight, the patch will be removed and taken to the Topps office in Dallas, where it will be pasted onto a unique card. The card will then be returned to the fighter for a sign.

The first fighter to receive the patch will be Swedish debutant Andreas Gustafsson, who will fight American Trevin Giles.
