UFC judge accused of sexually abusing minors

A Texas MMA official who has handled several UFC events has been charged with felony counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and indecent sexual contact with a child.

Robert Griffin Alexander, 49, was arrested Oct. 14 and booked into the Galveston County Jail with bail set at $40,000 for each offense. A bail hearing is currently scheduled for Nov. 29.

According to Galveston County 10th District Court documents, on Jan. 1, 2000, Alexander touched the genitals of a child who was under the age of 14 with his mouth. On Jan. 1, 2010, Robert Griffin Alexander had sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 17 by touching his genitals.

There is no expiration date for sexual offenses in Texas.

Robert Griffin Alexander has served as a judge at several UFC tournaments in Texas. The most recent event was UFC 271. Alexander has also refereed a fight at UFC 265 in 2021 and two fights at UFC 247.
