Rizvan Magomedov, manager of Russian fighters, in an exclusive interview with Telecom Asia Sport assessed the possibility of his client, Usman Nurmagomedov, moving to the UFC.
Rizvan Magomedov exclusively for Telecomasia.net
It so happens that Usman has no opponents to fight in the PFL. I don't want to predict what’s going to happen after Paul Hughes' fight, but if Nurmagomedov gets past him... Other fighters are competing in the Grand Prix. I believe that by the time the Grand Prix ends, a champion will be determined. I don't see any other names I can mention. As for a transfer to the UFC, that’s out of the question because Usman has signed a new contract. Nurmagomedov will continue to compete in the PFL for the next two years.
On January 25 in Dubai, as part of the Road To Dubai: Champions Series, Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov will face Paul Hughes.
Nurmagomedov boasts a record of 18 wins and no losses, while Hughes has 13 wins and one loss.
