Current UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski does not rule out the possibility of sharing the octagon with Ilia Topuria again, this time in the lightweight division.

You've gotta respect what Topuria is doing, you know... He wants to chase the lightweight [belt]. Let him do it and if we do it, maybe we do it at lightweight - double champ again. That doesn't get much bigger than that. That's perfect world for me. But again, a few things need to fall in place for that to happen.
The first fight between Volkanovski and Topuria took place in February 2024 at UFC 298. In that bout, Ilia achieved a knockout victory in the second round.
Volkanovski holds a mixed martial arts record of 27 wins and four losses, while Topuria boasts 16 wins with no defeats.
